Equipped with the right applications, a computer can be of great help in virtually any domain of activity. When it comes to designing and precision, no other tool is as accurate as a computer. Moreover, specialized applications such as AutoCAD give you the possibility to design nearly anything ranging from art, to complex mechanical parts or even buildings.
Suitable for business environments and experienced users
After a decent amount of time spent installing the application on your system, you are ready to fire it up. Thanks to the office suite like interface, all of its features are cleverly organized in categories. At a first look, it looks easy enough to use, but the abundance of features it comes equipped with leaves room for second thoughts.
Create 2D and 3D objects
You can make use of basic geometrical shapes to define your objects, as well as draw custom ones. Needless to say that you can take advantage of a multitude of tools that aim to enhance precision. A grid can be enabled so that you can easily snap elements, as well as adding anchor points to fully customize shapes.
With a little imagination and patience on your behalf, nearly anything can be achieved. Available tools allow you to create 3D objects from scratch and have them fully enhanced with high-quality textures. A powerful navigation pane is put at your disposal so that you can carefully position the camera to get a clearer view of the area of interest.
Various export possibilities
Similar to a modern web browser, each project is displayed in its own tab. This comes in handy, especially for comparison views. Moreover, layouts and layers also play important roles, as it makes objects handling a little easier.
Sine the application is not the easiest to carry around, requiring a slightly sophisticated machine to properly run, there are several export options put at your disposal so that the projects itself can be moved around.
Aside from the application specific format, you can save as an image file of multiple types, PDF, FBX and a few more. Additionally, it can be sent via email, directly printed out on a sheet of paper, or even sent to a 3D printing service, if available.
To end with
All in all, AutoCAD remains one of the top applications used by professionals to achieve great precision with projects of nearly any type. It encourages usage with incredible offers for student licenses so you get acquainted with its abundance of features early on. A lot can be said about what it can and can't do, but the true surprise lies in discovering it step-by-step.

AutoCAD History
AutoCAD History Autodesk’s first stab at creating a stand-alone application was a small interactive drawing and graphics editor named “ESD”, which debuted on the Apple II microcomputer in 1982. The program was aimed at engineering and architecture professionals, and could easily generate 2D, 3D, and surface modeling views of models. Development was overseen by Tony McDonald, a prolific designer and engineer whose credits included Autodesk’s AutoCAD, Tintype, and Interpress products. Due to time constraints, AutoCAD 1 was a primitive program. One of its advantages was that it didn’t require any specialized computers, as it ran on the Apple II microcomputer, which was easily available at the time. Instead of using proprietary technology, McDonald designed an unusual graphics engine that supported simple 2D line drawing, vector drawings, and bitmapped graphics that could be used to fill model spaces. The graphics engine was not as well suited for 3D modeling as a special-purpose 3D engine, and the program didn’t support 3D modeling. The program also lacked parametric and standard drawing tools. However, it was a huge success, even on the Apple II, and laid the groundwork for much of Autodesk’s future success. It was extremely fast and easy to use, despite its primitive features, and was a major success among architects and engineers. In 1985, Autodesk made the first cut into the emerging CAD industry by acquiring Macsketch, a small drawing application designed specifically for Macintosh. The two companies combined to create AutoCAD, which was first released on the Apple II and Macintosh in 1985. As was the case with ESD, it was a drawing/modeling program with a simple graphics engine. In order to attract a large number of users, the interface was intentionally very simple, with users using the mouse to place objects and resize them. The program also lacked any support for parametric and standard drawing tools. It was released in two parts, with the first focusing on 2D modeling (basic drafting), and the second focusing on 2D and 3D modeling (more detailed drafting). The 2D

AutoCAD classes
There are three types of classes in AutoCAD: Class, User Interface and Dynamic Link Library. AutoCAD classes are used for the creation of new commandlets and attributes and may also be used for interfacing with other applications. There are also AutoCAD Dynamic Link Library (DLL) files that can be statically linked to an application to improve performance and enhance the functionality of the application.
The base AutoCAD DLLs can be found in the SYS\ACAD\DCU\ directory. These are linked to the application by opening the active AutoCAD session, and clicking on File > Link > Add New Link.
Classes are dynamic collections of properties and methods. They are similar to Pascal classes and structs. AutoCAD generates the class methods and properties for you when you create an object, but you can also create your own. An example of a class is:
USERCLASS USROUTING
Dim pc As New UserClass
Dim p As Property
Class properties can be any type of data as long as they are able to be set or accessed. Examples of class properties include:
Float: Used to store floating point numbers
Integer: Used to store whole numbers (Int)
String: Used to store text such as text strings and numbers
Boolean: Used to store True/False values
Class methods are used to execute code at run-time (such as calculations, formatting, or file access) and can be any type of code. They follow the same syntax as a function in other languages, except they are executed when the object is instantiated. An example of a class method is:
PROPERTY FloatValue As Float
Function FloatValue() As String
Return Str(FloatValue)
End Function
Attributes are used to store data at run-time. You cannot create new attributes, but you can add and edit existing ones. An example of an attribute is:
Name: Used to store a name such as ‚Colour‘
Length: Used to store a length, such as ‚3.0‘
IntegerVal: Used to store an integer value such as 5
BooleanVal: Used to store a boolean value such as True
IntegerVal2: Used to store an integer value such as 6

The spider Argiope bruennichi (Araneae, Araneidae) is widely distributed in Europe, South-East Asia, and Australia. This species was formerly classified as Argiope trifasciata, but after a redescription, Sørensen (1907) separated this species into three subspecies based on differences in chelicerae and palpal morphology. We here describe and discuss the life history of A. bruennichi, including stages of development, sex allocation, and sperm morphology. The total duration of the whole reproductive period (eggs to dead spiders) was about 31 days, which is similar to that of other orb-web spiders. The subspecies are further distinguished by a combination of life history and sperm morphology. Eggs were laid in groups of about 35-60, and the clutch size ranged from a minimum of one to a maximum of nine. Spermatozoa were observed during all stages of spermatogenesis, but spermatozoa were only found in the male reproductive system of mature adult females. We found various types of spermatozoa in different males of the same subspecies. However, in males of one subspecies, A. b. jentzeni, spermatozoa have only been found in the ejaculatory duct, but not in the ejaculatory bulb. In both subspecies, androgenic spermatozoa have been found. In some species of orb weavers, sex allocation is manipulated by nutrition; therefore, we hypothesized that differences in the dietary intake of different subspecies of A. bruennichi might be reflected in differences in sperm morphology. The eggs of females that were fed with common meat were rounder and had fewer yolks than those of females who were fed with sliced fish. However, in the two subspecies, no differences in the number of yolks or in the size of the eggs were observed. We conclude that differences in sperm morphology cannot be
